Here are the size of the violins considering the age of the user: Size 1/16 is appropriate for children aging 3 to 5 years old. It has a length of 14 to 15 3/8 inches; arms length for most children in this age bracket. Furthermore, children from 3 to 5 years old with a total arm length of 15 3/8 to 17 inches may use size 1/10 as well. Still for ages 3 to 5 years old but with an arms length of 17.1 to 17.5 inches, a size 1/8 is ideal. Size ¼ is best to use for children aging 4 to 7 with arm length of 17.6 to 20.
