It's best for couples in this situation to set up a budget so they can learn how to use their money properly. There should be a place setup to hold all of the paid bills and receipts. These bills could conveniently fit into a photo storage box. If you keep everything organized, then it will be much easier to file taxes at the end of the year. Some of the various columns could include entertainment, credit cards, groceries, housing, miscellaneous, etc. The left side of the spreadsheet should consist of the months of the year.
