The three types of power sources for RC plane engines available are nitro, gas and electric RC planes.
Nitro RC engines: Using a nitro methane mixture makes them a faster, longer flying plane. It does however require more maintenance and is costly to fuel up.
Gas RC engines: Running on a mixture of gas and oil makes for a reliable and reasonably priced plane; but it’s still high in the maintenance cost department.
